Your guide to clear the cache in Echo Show in just a few steps

Alexa records and keeps a transcript of all of the commands you give to your Echo Show. As such, when the cache gets corrupted, you may find it behaving erroneously. To fix it you’ll need to clear the cache in Echo Show completely. Just stick around here for a couple of minutes to find out how it’s done!

How to clear the cache in Echo Show when it becomes a major issue?

When you clear the cache in Echo Show it can resolve intermittent app performance issues but many users have no clue about how to do it. That’s because some of the settings related to this procedure are not clearly visible. Worry not! Follow the list of instructions given below.

  1. Open Settings in Echo Show.
  2. Select the Device options.
  3. Go to the Web Options heading.
  4. Tap the Web Videos entry.
  5. Choose the Clear Cache option.
  6. Hit the Ok button.

There’s no storage capacity issue with the Amazon Echo show as it stores all your content in the cloud but sometimes, it can start behaving erroneously. The most common cause for this problem is the corrupted cache for web videos. See how to clear it.

How do I clean my Cache?

On your Echo Show screen, swipe from the top to the display menu. Select the Settings icon under it.

When directed to a new screen, scroll down to the Device Options category, and tap to expand it.

Under the Device Options screen, look for the Web Options heading. Tap to open it.

Clear the Cache

Next, under Web Videos, you’ll find 2 entries namely,

  • Clear Cache
  • Clear Cookies

Since we are interested in clearing the cache, select the former option. Note – Clearing the cache may increase the time it takes to load some pages. It will also remove the images and other files that are saved on your device when you browse the Internet.

When prompted with the message hit the Ok button.

Once done, all the cache for web videos in Echo Show will be removed.

The Echo Show is a smart device from Amazon used for streaming videos, listening to music, controlling smart home devices, making video calls, and more. It comes in 3 variants – 5-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch.

Does Echo Show have Netflix?

Yes! The Netflix app comes preinstalled on the following Echo Show models and newer:

  • Echo Show (2nd generation)
  • Echo Show 5 (all generations)
  • Echo Show 8 (all generations)

So, you can watch movie trailers, or catch up on award-winning TV shows & movies from Netflix.
