As such, we wondered if they can also be made to talk. Thanks to the widening extent of the social networking giant’s message maze your emojis now have a voice that will make your chats a whole lot louder.
How to activate Soundmoji
Soundmojis in Facebook Messenger app represents a form of expression that add short sound clips to your emojis in a Messenger chat. Although you can’t send your own audio snippet alongside the message, you can choose from a variety of options, ranging from clapping 👏, crickets 🦗, drumroll 🥁 evil laughter 👻 and even more. In short, these audio emojis will breathe a new life into your usually boring Messenger conversations.
How to send sound emoji in Messenger?
- Launch the Messenger app on your iPhone.
- Tap the Smiley face.
- Switch to the Loudspeaker icon.
- Choose an emoji.
- Hit the Send button.
- Tap the Soundmoji to hear the sound.
How do you use Soundmoji??
The Soundmojis are visible as a Loudspeaker icon under the Smiley heading. Here’s how you can find and use them to make your chat conversations livelier.
If you are running the latest version of the Messenger app, tap its icon on the Home Screen.

When the Messenger window opens, tap inside the message input field to make the smiley face visible.

When seen, tap it and switch to Sounds (seen as a Loudspeaker icon on the far right).
Select a sound emoji or talking emoji from the library to preview it.

Hit the Send button when you are ready.

When delivered, tap the Soundmoji to listen to the sound. Your sleep emoji will actually yawn when sent!
Facebook Soundmojis new sound effects and famous sound bites
In addition to the existing collection, Facebook has launched an entire Soundmoji library for you to choose from. The company claims it will be updated regularly with new sound effects and audio clips from some of the popular stars like Rebecca Black, Jake Peralta from Brooklyn 99 and Betty Cooper from Riverdal.
Sound emoji messenger not working?

If your Sound emoji messenger is not working, update the Messenger app. To verify if you have the latest version of the Facebook Messenger app installed, go to the App Store and search for the Messenger app. If you see the Update button next to the App title, tap it to install the update.
