How to disable Mac tips for new users completely?

When you find yourself swarmed by unnecessary user tips, it becomes difficult to focus on the task at hand. Fortunately, you can take control of these unwanted additions and make sure they don’t become a major distraction. Here’s how you can tame the notifications or disable Mac tips for new users.

  1. Go to Apple menu.
  2. Select System Preferences.
  3. Choose Notifications & Focus.
  4. Scroll down to tips.
  5. Turn off Allow Notifications switch.

Before you start trying to master the new features in macOS, take a step back and learn how to turn off the Mac tips for new users. It’s a problem many users experience while switching from Windows or other OS to macOS. That’s because there isn’t a menu bar for the Tips program where you can simply configure your preferences. Also, there’s no Tips application where you can go and disable the feature.

How do I turn off tips on Mac?

Although Monterey adds convenient new features to your Mac, like copying text from any image, or AirPlay media files from your iOS device to your Mac, its User Tips feature comes across as a distraction. To disable it do the following,

Go to the Apple menu, visible in the upper-left corner of your Desktop screen.

Select the System Preferences entry from the list of options displayed there.

When the System Preferences window opens, click the Notifications & Focus icon as shown in the image above.

Next, under the side panel on the left, scroll down to the Tips heading.

Switch to the right-pane and choose the Notifications tab. Then, simply slide the toggle next to Allow Notifications heading to the Off position.

This will disable the Mac tips for new users completely. Close the System preferences window and exit.

Hope that makes sense!
