Your iPhone Calendar app lets you keep a track of all your events and appointments in one place. But, if you do not rely much on notifications and reminders or find it difficult to manage the events in calendar, unsubscribe from the app. The given tutorial helps you unsubscribe from Calendars on your iPhone.

How to unsubscribe from calendars on your iPhone

If you get unwanted calendar invites or event notifications on your iPhone, here’s what you can do to unsubscribe from it.

  1. Unsubscribe from an iCloud Calendar
  2. Unsubscribe from other Calendars
  3. Delete specific calendar invitations

Let’s cover the topic in detail!

1] Unsubscribe from an iCloud Calendar

Open the Calendar app on your iPhone.

Go to the Calendar app.

Choose a calendar you would like to remove or delete and tap its ‘Info’ button.

Scroll down to locate ‘Delete Calendar’ option. When found, choose it.

2] Unsubscribe from other Calendars

To unsubscribe from a calendar other than an iCloud calendar, navigate to ‘Settings’ > ‘Passwords & Accounts’.

Choose an account and then, tap the slider to turn off Calendar.

Tap ‘Delete from My iPhone‘.

3] Delete specific calendar invitations

To delete an invitation that you already accepted, tap the event, then tap ‘Decline’ or ‘Delete Event’. If you unintentionally subscribed to a calendar that you don’t want:

Open the Calendar app. Then tap Calendars and look for an unknown or suspicious calendar.

Tap the calendar.

Scroll down and choose ‘Delete Calendar’ option.

If you get unwanted calendar invites or notifications from a third-party app, try to remove the app from your device. Or contact the third-party to find out how to remove the calendar.
