Steps to enable WhatsApp web dark mode in your favorite browser

WhatsApp serves as the simple, reliable messaging tool to instantly connect with people. The Facebook subsidiary even has an official web version that lets you mirror the conversation from your Smartphone. In addition, you can enable WhatsApp Web dark mode to lessen eye fatigue. Here’s how it works!

How to enable WhatsApp Web Dark Mode?

With WhatsApp on the web and Desktop, you can seamlessly sync all of your chats to your computer and chat on whatever device you feel is convenient for you. Also, you can enable WhatsApp Web dark mode to change the look and feel of your chat background. Follow the steps given below.

  1. Go to WhatsApp Web on your computer
  2. Log in via the QR code.
  3. Right-click the WhatsApp Web page and select Inspect Element.
  4. Search for body class=”web” or web text-rendering-bug-fix.
  5. Right-click the line and choose the ‘Edit’ option.
  6. Change the above line to body class=”web dark” or body class=”web dark text-rendering-bug-fix”.
  7. Hit Enter on the keyboard.
  8. Start using the dark mode on WhatsApp Web.

While you enable WhatsApp web dark mode in Chrome or any other browser, make sure your handset is connected to the Internet.

Go to WhatsApp Web on your computer and log in via the QR code. To do this, open WhatsApp on your Smartphone, choose ‘Settings’.

Next, navigate to ‘WhatsApp Web/Desktop’.

Scan the code on your computer’s screen and log in.

Right-click the WhatsApp Web page and click ‘Inspect’. Now search for body class= ‘web’. On browsers other than Chrome, such as Safari or Microsoft Edge, search for the following instead.

body class= ‘web text-rendering-bug-fix’.

When seen, right-click this line and select ‘Edit attribute’ option.

Then, change the attribute to body class= ‘web dark’ or body class=’web dark text-rendering-bug-fix’.

When done, press ‘Enter’ key or simply click anywhere on the page to apply changes.

The Dark Mode should be enabled, instantly.

Start using the dark mode on WhatsApp Web.
