How to connect AirTag to your Apple iPhone running iOS 14.5 or later?

It’s difficult to get accurate locations due to susceptibility of electronic devices to various kinds of interferences. Any interference weakens wireless signals. However, we know, Apple devices tracking is lauded for its accuracy and new AirTags are amazingly accurate at tracking items. Follow the instructions given below to connect AirTag to your Apple device.

  1. Connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi network or a cellular data
  2. Remove the protective film from your AirTag.
  3. Gently pull the plastic tag from the battery.
  4. Bring your iPhone and AirTag close to each other.
  5. Tap Connect.
  6. Tap Continue.
  7. Allow the setup to complete.

Before proceeding to set up your AirTags and use them, make sure your iPhone is updated to iOS 14.5, Bluetooth is turned on, and the Find My setting under your Apple ID screen is enabled.

Connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi network at home or if you are using a cellular connection, make sure mobile data is ON.

Uncover your AirTag Apple accessory by removing the protective film over it.

Gently pull the plastic tag from the battery. You should hear a welcome sound.

Now, bring both, AirTag and iPhone close to each other. Instantly, you should see a prompt appearing on the phone screen.

Tap the Connect button to proceed further.

In the next step, you’ll need to secure the AirTag to an item. So, choose an item from the list of options displayed.

To register AirTag to your Apple ID tap the Continue button.

You should hear a sound once the AirTag is connected to the phone.

Once done, attach an AirTag one to one of your items and start tracking them under the Find My app radar. AirTag has your back. If you have more than one AirTag, you should set them up, one at a time.
