Make your own stickers for Telegram app and share them with friends

Unlike other chat apps that limit stickers creations, Telegram allows its users create stickers from their own images. It even allows publishing them or sharing them with their friends or contacts. I guess this is one of the reasons the service has a massive following of users. If you would like to know how to create stickers for Telegram app using your own images, read this post to become a Telegram power user.

How to create your own stickers for Telegram App

Telegram uses an efficient and open technology. Using it, you can create your own stickers for Telegram App. Here’s how!

  1. Connect to your Telegram Web/Desktop account.
  2. Choose to create a new Telegram Sticker Pack.
  3. Add a name to the Sticker pack.
  4. Upload the image you want to use as a sticker through Attach Media option.
  5. Add a caption for the image file.
  6. Select an emoji that should correspond to your first sticker.
  7. Use the Publish command.
  8. Share the link with your friends or tart using the sticker.

How to make stickers for Telegram?

We recommend using Telegram for Web/Desktop when uploading stickers as it makes the whole exercise a lot easier.

 To do this, go to the App’s Settings.

Then, choose Devices.

Here, under Active Sessions, tap ‘Scan QR Code’.

Allow the app to connect to your account.

Visit this link and tap the Send Message button. You’ll be directed to a new chat window.

Under Sticker and Masks section, click a link. For example, if you would like to create a new Telegram Stickers pack, choose the /newpack link.

Choose a name for your pack and send the message.

Now, Click the Attach Media icon in the text/message input field and choose the File option from the list displayed. hit the Send button.

Make sure, the image is in PNG or WEBP format with a transparent layer. Also, it must fit into a 512×512 square (one of the sides must be 512px and the other 512px or less). You can easily create such a file using a Freehand selection tool of an image editing software like Microsoft Paint.

Now, add a caption for the image file.

Choose an emoji that should correspond to your first sticker. Although the Telegram app enables you to list several emojis in one message, we would recommend you not to use more than 2 per sticker.

Once done, click the emoji icon inside the text field and choose an emoji/s.

In a similar way, you can add more stickers. When you’re done, hit the Publish command as shown in the image above.

Now, simply provide a short name for your sticker pack. The Telegram app will use it to create a link that you can share with friends and followers.

Now, while chatting with your friend/s if you would like to send your image as a sticker, simply tap the sticker icon and choose your sticker.
