Invite more people to share HomeKit control and manage accessories

June 23, 2022 by Kshitij Saxena

There’s no hard and fast rule that only one person should have access to all the smart devices visible under the Home app. You can share HomeKit control and manage devices by inviting more people to join the app. Follow this guide to find out how it’s done!

How to Share HomeKit control by inviting more people to join the Home app

Adding a new user to the HomeKit allows the person to get access to the devices under the Home app and control the accessories listed under it, remotely from anywhere.

  1. Open the Home app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Home icon.
  3. Select Home Settings.
  4. Tap or click Invite People.
  5. Enter the person’s Apple ID (iCloud).
  6. Choose the Send Invite option.
  7. Wait for the person to respond to your request.

Once, the person accepts the request he can control and see all updates from the accessories.
