Memories in Apple TV offer a new way to view your erstwhile memories. It adds a new interactive interface, new animation and transition styles, and multiple image collages that make the images and videos appear livelier on the big screen. In addition, if you have subscribed to Apple Music, you can hear songs that combine expert recommendations with your music tastes, and what’s in your photos and videos.
- Open the Photos app on Apple TV.
- Navigate to the Memories category in the menu bar.
- Go to favorites or browse through the memories in the Watch Next.
- Select a movie to play it.
- Use Playback controls.
Aptly named Memories, the service includes photos and videos alike, accessible on iOS and macOS devices and now for tvOS.
How do I view photos on Apple TV?
Open the Photos app on Apple TV and head to the Memories category in the menu bar.
There, you can browse any of the memories in the Watch Next row or move down to browse your Favourites. If it has any short video clips, select it to play.
Use the playback controls as desired. For instance, you can Pause or play or go back to the previous section or skip to the next photo or video.
To show the playback controls on Apple TV during playback, rest your finger on the touch surface of Siri Remote (1st Generation). For Siri Remote (2nd generation), press up on the clickpad ring of your or rest your finger on the clickpad.
Then, simply swipe left or right on the touch surface of your Siri Remote (first-generation) or press left or right on the clickpad ring of your Siri remote (second-generation) to go back to the previous section or skip to the next photo or video.
When playback has finished, the next memory in the queue automatically begins playing.
If you would like to view more information about your memories, simply open the Show playback controls section again, then navigate down to see more information such as the music used and the total number of items.
