- On your new device, launch the Signal app.
- Complete the registration process.
- Select Transfer from iOS Device.
- Hit the Next button to see a QR code.
- Switch to your old device.
- Select Next.
- Move your device physically to scan the QR code from the above step.
- Allow the transfer process to complete,
- Send a message from your new device.

Before you begin the transfer process, it is important that you choose a time when you won’t be using either device for several minutes.
Then, on your new device, launch the Signal app. If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, download and install it. Then, complete the registration process, when prompted.
Next, choose Transfer from iOS Device .
