Gone are the days of sending links for meeting invites to your colleagues and requesting them to join a session. Today, the ability to share your screen in real-time is helping millions of people worldwide to boost their efficiency and success. Building upon this, Apple had rolled out Share My Screen FaceTime feature in iOS 15. It helps iOS users troubleshoot technical issues or stream content using SharePlay. Let’s find out how to put it to good use.
How do you use Share My Screen FaceTime on iPhone?
Can you use Share My Screen FaceTime to share your screen remotely or show photos and videos when you’re on a call? This is a question we are asked frequently, and yes, we have an answer for it. Apple has brought the much-awaited ability to share screens using Facetime. Here’s how you can use it to level up your work or fun experience.
- Open your Recents contact list.
- Select a contact.
- Tap the Video Camera icon to start the FaceTime call.
- Tap the Share my screen button to show contents on your screen.
- Assist the person for any help or host a virtual watch party.
- If you would like to add more people send the invite.
- Add animation to your picture.
- When done, end the call.
In addition to using it for remote assistance, you can use share my screen iphone feature to host virtual watch parties. However, there’s a catch here – both, you and the participants must also be subscribed to any streaming services you share.
How to share screen on ft?
When it comes to video calls, FaceTime is the go-to app for Apple users. So, open your Recents contact list and select a contact.
Tap the video camera icon, adjacent to the FaceTime heading to start a video call.
When the recipient accepts your call, a Share content button will be visible to you in the upper-right corner of your iPhone FaceTime call screen.
Tap the button to display Share My Screen option. Tap it start sharing your screen.
Now, if you are assisting a person to find something guide him through the necessary steps. As you can see in the image above, I was assisting my friend to enable the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode on iPhone.
Also, as mentioned earlier, you can use the Share my screen feature to enjoy movies, music, and other media along with friends and family during FaceTime sessions. However, this works only when you and the participants have subscribed to any streaming services you share.
If you would like to add more people to the FaceTime session, simply hit the Add People button, choose a contact from the contact list.
Then, hit the Invite with Messages button to send the invite. Upon accepting the invite, the person can join the group.
Lastly, when you’re done with the session, tap the Share Content button at the top of the FaceTime call again to stop sharing your screen.
