Here’s how to stop Instagram reminder emails from cluttering your mail inbox

When there is a large mix of new and old unread Instagram notifications, you’ll find them overwhelming your mail inbox. That’s because the settings to send Instagram Reminder emails are enabled by default. It sends reminders about the notifications you might have missed. But, if you do not wish to feel tied to your inbox, here’s how to disable it.

How to stop receiving Instagram reminder emails?

After battling your own inbox for hours, if you weren’t still able to figure out a way to stop receiving Instagram reminder emails, follow the instructions listed here. Simply hitting the Unsubscribe button at the bottom of the e-mail won’t solve your problem. You’ll need to tweak the settings of your Instagram account.

  1. Launch the Instagram app.
  2. Tap the Profile icon.
  3. Chhose Menu.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. Choose Notifications.
  6. Scroll down to Email and SMS.
  7. Go to Reminder Emails.
  8. Check the off option.

Thus, you will be able to disable all of the email notifications in just a few clicks.

How to stop Instagram from sending emails?

Launch the Instagram app on your iPhone or iPad.

Next, tap the profile icon at the bottom of the app screen. Then, choose the Menu icon, visible as 3 horizontal dots in the upper-right corner of your app screen.

From the list of options displayed, select Settings.

Expand the Notifications heading by tapping the side-arrow.

When the Notifications screen appears, scroll down to Emails and SMS heading under the Other Notification Types section.

Tap the entry to expand it and select Reminder Emails.

Now, check the Off box to disable Instagram from sending emails. You’ll also stop receiving SMS on your mobile phone if you have it linked to your Instagram account.

Return to the Instagram profile page. The configured settings will be automatically saved.

Where can I see recent photos and videos I’ve liked?

Instagram allows you to see the 300 most recent posts you’ve liked. For this,

Tap your profile picture at the bottom right to go to your profile.

Select Menu > Settings.

Then, choose Account > Posts You’ve Liked. It’s important to mention here that there’s no way to view posts that you’ve liked on Instagram.com.
