Set up auto reply text for iPhone

April 26, 2020

Many motorists admit texting and driving is as dangerous as drinking and driving. It takes 5 seconds to read a text message but even a longer time for it to respond. So, the length of time spent looking at the screen is roughly the same as the length of the time your eyes are off the road. This is a very risky affair and can cost lives! The easiest way to avoid this behavior is to set up auto reply text for iPhone.

Under DO NOT DISTURB WHILE DRIVING, tap 'Activate'. By default, the options provided are,

>
  • No One
  • Recents
  • Favorites
  • All Contacts.

Avoid using the first option as it serves no purpose.

Edit the text in the box and enter an auto-reply text message sample for a business, meeting, or whatever you like.

It’s advisable to keep your auto-reply to text message brief. Here are a few auto-reply text message examples,

  • Sorry, I am unavailable right now.
  • I will reply to your message, once I am back home.

You can also turn On the Driving Focus mode automatically, manually, or when connected to a car Bluetooth. To do so, simply choose the desired option by tapping While Driving heading under the Driving screen.

That’s all there is to it!

Once you are done with the above procedure, your iPhone auto-reply text message feature will be enabled for specific numbers.

Hope it makes sense!
