How to host a conference call on iPhone to talk privately

Call Conferencing facility is accessible to more people than ever. So, if you want to know how to set up a conference call on iPhone, follow this post. Earlier, this capability was limited to a few large enterprise businesses only.

How to set up a conference call on iPhone?

You can set up a conference call for free and connect with multiple people at the same time via an iPhone. The names of all participants become visible to the person who has started the call.

  1. Choose a contact from the Dialer app.
  2. Make a call.
  3. Tap Add Call button.
  4. Dial another person.
  5. Tap the Merge Calls button.
  6. Repeat the procedure t add more participants.

So, in just a few steps you can set up conference call on iPhone and start talking privately.

How to have conference call on iPhone

The iPhone conference call is part of the iPhone Phone app. You can get started by picking up a contact from the Dialer app.

Allow the call to connect.

Tap the ‘add call’ button as shown in the image above.

Dial the second person and wait for the call to connect.

Next, tap the ‘Merge calls’ button to add the participants and start the conference.

If you would like to add additional people, repeat the above steps. Here, if you don’t see the option to add another call, it means you have reached the limit of participants for your carrier.

It is important to mention here that the names of all participants who joined the conference call will be visible only to the person who started the conference call. However, if a participant adds someone else, he can see the name of the person added and the person who started the conference call.

If you would like to remove someone from the conference, midway, tap the ‘Info’ button.

End Call

Tap the ‘End’ button just adjacent to the person that you want to remove. If you don’t see the option to remove a caller, it’s likely that the current call or your carrier does not support the feature.

In the same way, you can add an incoming call when you are on a conference call by tapping ‘Hold & Accept’. Then, tap ‘merge calls’.

iPhone conference call limit?

You can set up a conference call and connect with up to five people. However, the number of participants, as well as the ability to add, merge, or disconnect individual callers may vary depending on the carrier service the user has subscribed to.
