Every Twitter user should have an option to strip the clutter from web pages and read the information provided on its platform in a distract-free environment. It is for this reason; the micro-blogging site allows you to open Twitter links in Reader View for improved readability. When enabled, this simplistic view looks for and grabs the article you actually want to read, then shows you only that.
Open Twitter links in Reader View for better readability?
When you choose to open Twitter links in Reader View mode, you change the text size, contrast, and page layout on websites for improved readability. This helps you strip away clutter like buttons, background images, and other distractions. Here’s how you can turn On the feature for the Twitter app.
- Launch the Twitter app.
- Tap your profile icon.
- Scroll down to Settings and privacy.
- Choose Accessibility, display and languages.
- Yap the Accessibility heading.
- Enable the Open links in the Reader View link.
As reading has increasingly shifted from paper to online media, many social networking sites like Twitter and others now provide a ‘Reader View’ which modifies web page layout and design for better readability. Here’s the list of detailed instructions to enable it.
How do I open links outside Twitter?
Launch the Twitter mobile app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap the profile icon visible in the upper-left corner of the app screen.
Next, under the side panel that appears, scroll down to the ‘Settings and privacy’ entry.
When the Settings screen opens, go to the Accessibility, display, and languages heading. It allows you to manage how Twitter content is displayed to you.
Thereafter, expand the Accessibility space and scroll down to the web browser section.
Under it, slide the toggle next to the ‘Open links in Reader View’ option to the On position. Note- if you have multiple Twitter accounts on the same device, the setting will affect all the Twitter accounts on the device.
Now, try opening a link to any Twitter thread. The difference should be visible to you.
What’s a Twitter thread?
A thread on Twitter is a series of connected Tweets from an individual. It helps the user provide additional context or an extended point by connecting multiple Tweets together. You can post up to 25 tweets in a single thread. Just hit the compose icon to draft a new Tweet as a thread.
