How to stop political ads on Facebook?
Political campaigns on Facebook are organized in an effort to influence the decision-making process within a specific group. If you don’t like it, you can limit its appearance in your News Feed. Find how to see fewer political ads on Facebook.
- Tap the Menu.
- Choose Settings & Privacy.
- Select Settings again.
- Go to Ads.
- Choose Ad Preferences.
- Switch to the Ad topics tab under Ad preferences.
- Choose topics to see fewer ads about them.
Facebook acknowledges the fact; this system isn’t perfect. So, if any user finds that even after configuring his/her preferences, the ads continue to be shown and are political in nature, they can report it. Just tap the upper right corner of the ad and report it to Facebook.
How to turn off political ads on Facebook?
Open your Facebook app and go to the Menu (visible as 3 horizontal bars at the bottom of the app screen).
Choose ‘Settings’ from the list of options displayed and then, move to ‘Settings & Privacy’.
Next, select ‘Settings’ again and go to ‘Ads’.

Here, choose ‘Ad Preferences’.

Switch to the Ad topics tab under the Ad preferences section. Here, choose the topics to see fewer ads about them. Hit the See Fewer button to limit the ads about the topics.
