How to fix Homepod Siri fails to recognize your voice?
Just to make sure things are working as desired, Siri might ask you who you are from time to time. You can choose to respond with your name, or simply request something by saying, “Hey Siri, this is [your name]” or “Hey Siri, who am I?” If Siri pronounces your name wrongly, say, “No, this is [your name]. Also, when HomePod Siri fails to recognize your voice, take the following troubleshooting steps.
- Launch the Home app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the Home icon.
- Select Home Settings.
- Tap your name under People.
- Turn ‘Recognize My Voice’ off then on.
- Wait for Siri to start again.
- Restart your HomePod and iOS or iPadOS device.
- Set up “Hey Siri” again.
- Turn ‘Listen for “Hey Siri’ off then on.

If Siri doesn’t recognize you after set up, try these steps and see if Siri recognizes you.
Launch the Home app on your iOS or iPadOS device.
When the Home app screen loads, tap the Home icon visible in the upper-left corner, then choose Home Settings.
When directed to a new screen, tap your name under the People heading.
Then, scroll down to locate the Recognize My Voice entry. When seen, turn it off and then, enable it again.
Now, wait a few minutes before trying Siri again.
Once done, restart the iPhone, iPad that you use with “Hey Siri.” Also, restart your HomePod mini or HomePod.
Set up “Hey Siri” all over again. For this, go to the Settings of your iPhone or iPad, scroll down to Siri & Search heading then, turn off the Listen for “Hey Siri” option. Wait for a few seconds before you enable the option again.
Thereafter, simply follow onscreen instructions to teach Siri your voice.
Your HomePod Siri should now recognize your voice and start responding to your requests.
