- Open the Apple Watch App on your iPhone.
- Choose the My Watch tab.
- Scroll down to Workout option.
- Enable Detect Gym Equipment.
- Select a Peloton Cycling class (live or on-demand)
- Hit the Start button.
- The Watch will disconnect at the end of the ride, automatically.
You’ll just have to start a separate workout on the watch’s built-in workout app and the equipment to complete Apple Watch and peloton integration.
How to Sync Your Peloton and Apple Watch?
On your iPhone, launch the Apple Watch app by tapping its icon.
Next, tap the My Watch tab located at the bottom of the screen.
Go to the Workout option as shown in the image above.
When directed to a new screen, scroll down to locate the Detect Gym Equipment entry. Slide the toggle adjacent to the heading to enable it.
When done, select a Peloton Cycling class. It offers you 2 choices. You can either join a Live class or select an on-demand class.
For a live class, you must pair the Watch within a minute or else, the watch will disconnect after the time out. For an on-demand class, select the class and hit the Start button under the pop-up menu to enter the class.
Now, simply hold your unlocked Apple Watch to the Top of Peloton Monitor. The Watch should vibrate and display an on-screen prompt – ‘connecting’. Just hit the OK button on the Watch to accept the connection.
Press Start on the workout. Instantly, a small green symbol should pop up in the top right corner of the Peloton touchscreen indicating the connection is active.
Once you’ve finished your workout, the watch will disconnect at the end of the ride, automatically.
Do I have to own a Peloton Bike or Tread to be able to use the Peloton app on Apple iOS?
No. All you need is the Peloton App Membership to access the app. Once you’ve downloaded the Peloton app from the Apple Appstore on your iOS device, create an account and subscribe to a plan.
