How to change Alexa voice on Amazon Echo Show

July 2, 2021 by Hemant Saxena

Amazon’s choice for Alexa’s voice provided by Nina Rolle, a Colorado-based voiceover artist is pretty good. But the soothing female voice gets incredibly boring after a while. Switching to a different voice can be a good choice if you need a variety of voices in a story but sadly, there’s no direct way to change Alexa voice. We have a workaround for it, however.

How to change Alexa voice for Echo Show?

You can have your digital assistant speak in an accent matching French, Spanish, Italian or any other language. So, by merely adjusting the accent you can make Alexa sound a bit different. Here’s how to change Alexa voice for your Echo Show.

  1. Launch Alexa mobile app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the More icon.
  3. Choose Settings.
  4. Go to Device Settings.
  5. Choose the Echo Show device for which you’d like to change Alexa’s voice.
  6. Scroll down to the Language entry.
  7. Confirm the changes.

Before proceeding with the above changes make sure both your iPhone and the Echo device you want to change are connected to the Internet.
