Switching to a different voice can be a good choice if you need a variety of voices in a story but sadly, there’s no direct way to change Alexa voice. We have a workaround for it, however.
How to change Alexa voice for Echo Show?
You can have your digital assistant speak in an accent matching French, Spanish, Italian or any other language. So, by merely adjusting the accent you can make Alexa sound a bit different. Here’s how to change Alexa voice for your Echo Show.
- Launch Alexa mobile app on your iPhone.
- Tap the More icon.
- Choose Settings.
- Go to Device Settings.
- Choose the Echo Show device for which you’d like to change Alexa’s voice.
- Scroll down to the Language entry.
- Confirm the changes.
Before proceeding with the above changes make sure both your iPhone and the Echo device you want to change are connected to the Internet.
How to change Alexa’s voice?
Launch the Alexa app on your mobile.
Tap More icon visible in the lower-right corner of the app screen.
Then, go to Settings.

Now, scroll down to the Device Settings.

When directed to a new screen, choose the Echo Show device for which you’d like to change Alexa’s voice.

Then, move to the Languages entry.

Select a language or a new dialect you want Alexa to us.
Please note, updating the language may take a few minutes. You can continue using your current language during the update. Alexa app will notify you when the new language is ready.
Press OK to finish.

When finished, try asking Alexa a question. You should find it answering in the chosen accent and thus, the changed voice.
