How to switch to AirPods Pro Conversation Boost mode?
By switching to the AirPods Pro Conversation Boost mode, you force the earphones to focus on the voice of the person directly in front of you. This makes it easier to distinguish speech and follow along in face‑to‑face conversations.
- Go to your iPhone Settings.
- Scroll down to the Accessibility Settings.
- Under the Hearing section, tap Audio / Visual.
- Toggle Headphone Accommodations to on.
- Enable the Transparency Mode.
- In the next screen, scroll down to Conversation Boost and turn it on.
- Adjust the sliders to amplify the tone of the conversation.
Following this, you don’t need to request the other person you are having a conversation with to speak louder or adjust the pitch of his/her voice. Instead, the earphones will automatically do the job for you.
How do I turn on chat boost in AirPods Pro?
The Conversation Boost mode uses computational audio and beamforming microphones to amplify the conversations from folks surrounding you or nearby with whom you are interacting in real-time. To enable this feature, head to iPhone Settings.
Scroll down to the Accessibility Settings and tap to open it.
When directed to a new screen, go to the Hearing section. Under it, tap the Audio/Visual heading.
Then, turn on the Headphone Accommodations option to make more options visible.
Scroll down to Apply With section. If the Transparency Mode option under it is set to Off, slide the toggle to the On position.
