  1. Go to your Apple TV Home Screen.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Choose General option.
  4. Scroll down to Screen Saver tab.
  5. Choose Type.
  6. Switch to Aerial.
  7. Activate Screen Saver immediately or set the screen saver delay time.

On your apple TV Home Screen, select the Settings icon.

When directed to a new screen, choose the General option.

Next, scroll down to Screen Saver entry and select it.

Choose the Type entry and then, select Aerial.

Now, Apple TV will displays a screen saver after the screen is idle for a preset number of minutes. You can either choose to activate the Aerial screen savers right away or set the Screen Saver delay time. We’ll look at both methods.

Activate the Aerial screen savers right away

You can activate the screen saver manually before it goes idle. For this,

Press and hold the Back button on your Siri Remote (2nd generation) to return to the Home Screen, then press the Back button again.

For Siri Remote (1st generation), press and hold the Menu button to return to the Home Screen, then press the Menu button again.

Set the Screen Saver delay time.

Go to Settings > General > Screen Saver.

Here, select Start After, then set the minutes.

The options offered include,

  • Never
  • 2 minutes
  • 5 minutes
  • 10 minutes
  • 15 minutes
  • 30 minutes

When configured, this setting will instruct Apple TV to automatically start the screen saver if the device has been idle for the specified duration.

To exit, press the Clickpad centre (second-generation Siri Remote) or touch surface (first-generation Siri Remote) to return to the last used app.

How to get Aerial Screen Saver location information?

When the Aerial screen saver is active, do the following on the Siri Remote (second-generation).

Tap the Clickpad (second-generation Siri Remote) or touch surface (first-generation Siri Remote).
