Check your AirPods Pro Case Firmware version
Assuming that AirPods are connected to your iPhone, open the Settings app.
Expand the Bluetooth heading. Under the My Devices section, locate the entry of your AirPods Pro.

Tap the Info icon next to your AirPods pro entry name.

Under the About section, check the Version entry. This entry indicates the Firmware version number of your earphones.
To check the version number of your earphone case, tap the version entry again.

The action when confirmed will display the case firmware version number as shown in the screenshot above.
That’s how you can find whether the case firmware version number is up to date and is running the latest version or not.
What’s the difference between drivers and firmware
An important difference between the two is that the firmware is stored on the hardware device itself, while drivers are installed inside the operating system.
Second, firmware can kick off on its own and carry out the functions it’s been programmed for while drivers must be run by the operating system.
Hope that makes sense!
